Amelia Anne Blackmore wrote four books - Vegetarian Cookery and Meatless Dishes in 1927, How to Cook Vegetables in 1940, The Cooking of New Zealand Fish and other Sea Food in 1928 and Southern Cross Housewifery and Laundry Work for use in Schools and home in 1949. She did Radio Broadcasts like a modern TV chef. She had a life time friend, the teacher Elizabeth Ellen Bevin - born in Dunedin in 1872. They were buried together in the same plot at the Ruru Lawn Cemetery.
